Our story
A family, a flock, and the same hills for five generations.
For more than 112 years, our family has farmed the hills around Maesteg and Llangynwyd. From my great-grandfather to my grandfather, my father, and now me alongside my son, each generation has cared for the land and the flock before passing it on.
Every Lluest Wen lamb begins life in our lambing shed, where each ewe and new-born is watched over. Once we're happy that they're feeding well, thriving and properly bonded — usually within 48 hours — ewe and lamb head out together onto the mountain.
From there, our lambs are grass-fed and raised across the hills and pasture of Lluest Wen, where they remain until they're ready from around the end of September.
